RAGSDALE SOLAR PROJECT

Jones Power successfully completed the civil construction scope for the RAGSDALE SOLAR PROJECT, a 100-megawatt utility-scale solar installation spanning over 600 acres near Canton, Mississippi. This project marks a significant step in the state’s transition to renewable energy sources.

Our comprehensive scope included erosion control, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, soil cement stabilization, access road construction, and final seeding. We also provided post-civil site maintenance, supporting subsequent phases of development with road maintenance, erosion and dust control, and mowing. Construction began in October 2023 and our portion was completed in February 2024, setting the stage for the installation of solar infrastructure.
Notably, Jones Power played a pivotal role in the project’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance strategy. Our recognition as an industry leader in IRA processes, particularly in apprenticeship programs and documentation requirements, contributed significantly to the overall project’s regulatory adherence.

This project showcases Jones Power’s expertise in large-scale solar development and our commitment to advancing clean energy initiatives. For unparalleled civil construction services in renewable energy projects, contact Jones Power today.
