WE’RE GROWING
The energy industry is transitioning and expanding every year to meet global demand, and Jones Power is evolving with it. As we grow, we continue to invest in our workers. Power Forward™, Jones Power’s apprenticeship program, is one way we care for our workers, providing them with the opportunity to earn a higher wage and advance their careers.

Program Requirements

The Power Forward™ apprenticeship program is a two to three year program that includes both classroom and on-the-job training. Over the course of 3000-6000 hours, apprentices will learn the many skills necessary to become a heavy equipment operator, including:

  • Leadership Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Equipment Operator Skills
  • Maintenance Skills
  • Technology Skills
  • And much more

Program Benefits

Taking part in the Power Forward™ program will provide apprentices with a competitive wage and benefits package, valuable field experience, and a direct path to becoming a heavy equipment operator. Upon completion of the program, apprentices will receive a Certificate of Completion that acknowledges their dedication.

Certification

The Power Forward™ apprenticeship program is certified by the Department of Labor (DOL) and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). This program meets the requirements of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which allows clean energy projects the opportunity to receive tax credits.

“I started with Jones in 2011 as a Laborer, excited about the opportunity for career growth. In my first couple of years at Jones, I was trained on the wheel loader and an excavator with a Vacuworx attachment. Before long, I was promoted into the role of Equipment Operator. Over the subsequent years, Jones has continued to invest in me. And now, I have graduated into the expanded role of Site Foreman. At Jones Power, they invest in people! I was given a life-changing career opportunity that I am incredibly grateful for!”
