KEIFFER FUNK SOLAR PROJECT
Our scope of work encompassed crucial civil construction tasks and the complex challenge of sinkhole remediation. The project, situated on approximately 80 acres of a larger 167-acre parcel, required meticulous site preparation for the installation of about 40,000 photovoltaic modules with a single-axis tracking system.
Our completed work included comprehensive site grading and preparation for five inverter pads, as well as the construction of an all-weather perimeter road to support ongoing maintenance. Throughout the process, we implemented effective erosion control measures to protect the local environment. A standout aspect of our work was the successful sinkhole remediation, showcasing our expertise in handling unique geological challenges that are critical for the long-term stability and safety of solar installations.
Jones Power’s expertise in sustainable civil construction practices and our ability to address complex geological issues were instrumental in laying the groundwork for this forward-thinking solar facility. Our completed work has set the stage for a project that will contribute significantly to Maryland’s clean energy goals, with the capacity to power thousands of homes in the region.
