VALLEY CROSSING PROJECT
Building potential to fuel millions of homes.
The goal of the 165-mile (266-km) Valley Crossing Project was to bring 2.6 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of gas to Mexico, enough to fuel over five million U.S. homes for an entire day.
The solution was to help feed their growing demand for power generation by efficiently transporting gas from Texas, as utilities there shift away from plants powered by oil and imported liquefied natural gas.
Jones Power was engaged from start to finish of the project, collectively delivering 10,000 loads of pipe to multiple project sites. From ocean vessel management, to project logistics and on-site execution, Jones Power spearheaded the initiative to connect the largest OD gas pipeline, the Sur de Texas-Tuxpan Pipeline, with supply from the Gulf of Mexico.
With the help of Jones Power, The Valley Crossing Project is now delivering the natural gas Mexico needs to power their growing demand.
