BAY RUNNER PIPELINE PROJECT

The BAY RUNNER PIPELINE PROJECT is a crucial infrastructure development set to power NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG export facility at the Port of Brownsville in South Texas. This ambitious project involves the construction of approximately 137 miles of new 42-inch-diameter pipeline, originating from a new compressor station in Kleberg County and terminating at a facility in Brownsville.

Awarded in 2024, Jones Power is currently playing a vital role in this transformative project. Our ongoing scope of work encompasses yard procurement and selection, pipe offloading, trucking, and pipe racking. These critical tasks form the backbone of the project’s logistics and material management, ensuring smooth progress from start to finish.
In a strategic move to enhance project efficiency, Jones Power has partnered with our sister company, Rockport Terminals, a specialized transloading facility. This collaboration leverages our combined expertise in logistics and material handling to ensure seamless operations throughout the project’s lifecycle. By joining forces, we’re able to offer a comprehensive solution that addresses the complex challenges of large-scale pipeline construction.
The Bay Runner Pipeline, upon completion, will provide 100 percent of the natural gas supply to the Rio Grande LNG export facility, marking a significant milestone in South Texas’ energy infrastructure. This project is poised to bolster the region’s position in the global LNG market, creating new opportunities for economic growth and energy security.
As we continue our work on the Bay Runner Pipeline Project, Jones Power remains committed to delivering excellence in logistics and material management. Our team’s dedication and expertise are helping to lay the groundwork for this critical energy conduit, ensuring that every pipe section is carefully handled, transported, and positioned for installation.
